Michaela Gulemetova, Ph.D.

Senior Consultant

Michaela is an economist with over 15 years of experience conducting research and evaluation studies focused on children and youth. She brings deep expertise in K-12 education research, with a strong foundation in advanced econometrics methods and thoughtfully integrated mixed methods. 

She has led education evaluations on a wide range of education topics, including STEM and literacy programs, social-emotional learning, multilingual learner education, summer out-of-school programs for minority students, and teacher professional development programs–both in the United States and internationally. She has worked with organizations like World Food Programme, Catholic Relief Services, and Save the Children in evaluating Food for Education programs in Burkina Faso, Mali, Liberia, Cote d‘Ivoire, Senegal, and Laos.

Michaela holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and is fluent in French, English, and Bulgarian. She has published research findings and presented at national and international conferences.
