Maria DiFuccia, M.A.

Senior Consultant

Maria is a passionate evaluator and researcher with 15 years of domestic and international experience in program design, monitoring and evaluation, and applied research. She has led over 20 evaluation projects across three continents, helping organizations use evidence to strengthen performance, inform policy reforms, and drive meaningful social impact.

Her expertise spans reproductive and maternal health, child labor prevention, school feeding and literacy, and gender-focused interventions. Maria has designed and managed complex mixed-method evaluations, including USDA McGovern-Dole Food for Education programs in West Africa and Southeast Asia, child labor initiatives in Africa and South Asia, and maternal health programs in Nepal. She is skilled in capturing the influence of gender empowerment initiatives and in training local teams to collect sensitive data on topics such as child labor and gender-based violence.

Maria has partnered with clients including USAID, the Millennium Challenge Corporation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the National Science Foundation, and international NGOs such as Save the Children, Catholic Relief Services, and the World Food Programme. She holds an M.A. in Sociology from Penn State University and a B.A. in English from Wittenberg University.
